St. Michael the Archangel

Feast Day – September 29St. Michael

Patron Saint – policemen, knights, soldiers

St. Michael is the chief prince of the angels and one of the seven archangels.  He serves the Lord as a protector of all Christians against the devil.  He is mentioned several times in the Bible.  He is found several times in Daniel.  He is the angel that stopped Abraham’s hand as he stood over Isaac.  He is also the one who wrestled with Jacob all night.  In the book of Revelation, St. Michael is the one who leads the angels against the dragon.

St. Michael is one of my personal favorites.  As a protector against the devil, God has charged him with being always at the ready to help us.
