Happy Mother’s Day

May 10, 2014 Posted by Shannon

When I was a teenager, the priest in our parish always sang to all the mothers in church at the end of mass on Mother’s Day.  I can still hear him singing.  So enjoy the poem below as well as my Mother’s Day Blessing for you!

holding hands2

A poem for MOTHER
M…is for the many things she gave me
O…means only that she’s growing old
T…is for the tears she shed to save me
H…is for her heart of purest gold
E…is for her eyes, with love-light shining
R…means right, and right she’ll always be
Put them all together, they spell “mother”
…a word that means the world to me.

Blessings to you all!
